How to prepare for the laser hair removal procedure?

In order for the laser hair removal procedure to be maximally effective, it is mandatory that the hairs in the desired area are not plucked for 4 weeks for the face area and at least 6 weeks for the body area, and for the legs area the waiting time can be extended to 8 weeks. This is to track and respect the anagen phase of the hair. Epilation methods can be those in which there is no hair plucking - shaving, trimming, depilatory cream.

Why is it important to shave hair before laser hair removal?

It is highly important to shave your hair 24 to a maximum of 48 hours before the procedure so that the hair shaft can absorb the energy and deliver it to the hair follicle. If the hair is not shaved, it will burn to the surface of the skin and can cause a burn to the skin itself.

Is laser hair removal effective for white hairs?
